Extra-curricular Activities
Interscholastic Sports:
GCA has interscholastic sports available for the middle school and high school grades. We play boys and girls basketball and soccer and girls volleyball against other private schools in the area. We also have a cheerleading squad.
Intramural Sports:
GCA has Intramural sports available for first through 5th graders. We play soccer in the fall and basketball in the spring. This is a great opportunity for the students to learn the fundamentals of these sports and have some fun while they're at it!
Clubs:
GRACE has a wide variety of clubs for Junior High and High School students to join. Our Young Americans Club encourages civic responsibility and awareness among our students. This club conducted a mock election in 2008 for the entire GRACE family (see photo) and enjoyed the privilege of serving as pages during Georgia State Congressional sessions. Our National Honor Society and Beta Club are service organizations, with invitations to join based on a student's GPA. Members of these two clubs served as peer tutors and mentors for younger students and honored the Lord as they prepared Christmas gifts for the underprivileged during Operation Christmas Child. GRACE also has a Drama Club, Art Club, and Music Club whose members attend the GACS Fine Arts competition. Our students carried away several state level awards, and most of our participants received Excellent and Superior ratings. Our Art Club's handiwork can even be seen around the school -- most of the high school classrooms have GRACE art on the ceiling. In addition to these clubs, we are adding a club for Future Financiers and Investors; a Missions Club which will emphasize evangelism and missionary activities; and a Future Homemakers Club.
