Education: I graduated from Toccoa Falls College in May 2004, with a major in Secondary English Education. I also attended Georgia Military Community College.

Years in Education: I started teaching in 2004 here at Grace!

Why I became a teacher: A lot of my decision came from my English professor. His love for literature rubbed off on me. I also love kids and always have. God knew there was no greater job for me than to spend my days helping kids reach their potential.

Favorite Teacher: My favorite teacher was one of my English professors. He taught me that no matter where I started at the beginning of the semester that I had potential to be better. He was there to encourage and help me reach my potential.

Hobbies:I love to read and I like all kinds of water sports.

Pets: Maggie, our White Golden Retriever puppy.

Favorite Scripture: Prov. 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths". My dad shared this verse with me when I was a little girl and it has stuck with me through the years and helped keep me focused when things got hard.

Favorite Food: Fruit! Any kind of fruit!

Favorite Subject in School: I loved science so much that when I went to college my first major was nursing.
