Mrs. Hughes
Education: I attended Washington Bible College and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Years in Education: I started teaching in 1987. I have also taught third through eighth grades.
Years at GCA: I started at GCA in 1990.
Favorite Teacher: My high school math teacher, Mr. Gilbert. He made math easy to understand and fun to do. This is partly why I enjoy teaching math today.
Why I became a teacher: I really enjoy working with kids and I really enjoy teaching, so it seemed natural to become a teacher.
Special Interests in Education: Curriculum.
Favorite Hobbies: Reading, Swimming and spending time with my family.
Pets: One dog, "Sophie", a toy poodle.
Favorite Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-23 " It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." I like these verses because God promises that He will never fail us and everyday is a new day.
Favorite Subject in school: Algebra
Favorite Food: Anything Italian or chocolate!
