Mrs. Moye

Mrs. MoyeEducation: I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bob Jones University in 1979 where I majored in English and minored in Journalism, and I have 30 hours toward a Master's degree.

Years in Education: I began teaching in 1979.

Why I became a teacher: I love literature and have a desire to pass that love on to my students. My goal as an English teacher is to give my students the best academic education possible while instilling a desire to live a Christ-centered life. My students need to develop the ability to discern and examine everything they encounter in life through the light of the Word of God. I must show them the evidence of God's hand in history, literature, and even in the orderly grammatical structure of our language. They must be properly prepared to represent the Lord as they go out from our school. My prayer for them is an echo of Ephesians 1:16-20: that "God...may give [them] the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him;" that "the eyes of [their] understanding be enlightened;" that they "may know what is the hope of His calling, ... [and] the exceeding greatness of His power to [those] who believe."

Favorite Teacher: Dr. Edward Panosian who taught history at BJU.

Hobbies: Reading and horseback riding

Family Info: I have 2 sons, David and John. We have 1 cat, Tigger, 2 geckos, Leonidas and Cherlemagne; and 1 turtle, Dexter.

Favorite Scripture: Phil. 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Favorite Food:Lasagne, guacamole, and chocolate
