Mrs. April Turner - K4
Education: I attended Gordon College from 1993 to 1995 and Griffin Tech from 1995 to 1997. I am currently attending University of Phoenix, studying to get my Bachelors in Elementary Teacher Education.
Years in Education: I started working with K4 kids in 2007.
Favorite Teacher: I've never really had a favorite teacher. I thought they were all wonderful.
Why I became a teacher: I've always wanted to be a teacher. My mom was a teacher for 20+ years and I would go to work with her because I loved working with children. I became the teacher assistant for K-4 in 2007-2008 and had the chance to work with the class a lot and I loved it. Working at Grace inspired me to become a teacher. I enjoy working with children and love seeing their faces light up when they have learned something new for the first time.
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, working in my yard, taking pictures and working on my family web site.
Family Info: My husband's name is Stephen and we have three wonderful daughters, Emma, Olivia and Morgan.
Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 " Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
Favorite Subject in school: English.
Favorite Foods: Soft pretzels, popcorn and Italian food.
